- Monitor and Report on Aerial and Underground Fiber Optic Construction Crew progress (up to 3-5 crews)
- Investigate planned pathways in front of crews to identify and mitigate roadblocks
- Represent Congruex and Client in a professional manner
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with permit requirements
- Inform all supervisors and subcontractors promptly of any construction schedule changes, and work closely with all stakeholders to ensure requirements are met
- Provide schedule, and project database updates, report regularly to project manager to keep him/her constantly informed of job progress, plans and problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules
- Manage compliance with quality control, and quality assurance standards and specifications
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
- Perform equipment, material, and routine site inspections
- Attend regular meetings with vendors, managers, and staff
- Travel to and supervise multiple job sites during the course of a day
General
- Experience in Aerial and Underground Telecommunications construction methods and specifications. Fiber to the home experience is preferred.
- Experience in construction quality management and assurance
- Excellent organization and planning skills
- Valid Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record
- Physical requirements:
- Ability to stand, stoop, squat and bend for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk for extended periods of time and/or long distances
- Ability to navigate through potential uneven walkways/terrain
- Tolerant to extreme elements (heat, sun, wind, rain, snow, etc.)
- Good vision and depth perception (corrective lenses OK)
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 10lbs minimum, and potentially up to 50lbs
- Skilled in interpreting telecommunications construction drawings in hard copy and digital format
- Experienced in providing redline updates to construction plans
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
- GIS experience is a plus
- Experience working as a technical construction supervisor
- Proven understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices
